I purchased this bike in 2016 for $1999.99. What a deal . It’s been a 100% trouble free bad arse bike . I love it so much over the winter of 2021/22 I totally rebuilt the frame . First wanted 27.5” wheels . Got Zipp Moto3Zero wheels , 2.5” front tire , 2.4” rear . Cranks , dual chain ring 165mm , Chromag flat pedals , 11sp XT drivetrain w/ztr shifters , Hope brakes , 2020 Lyrik fork 150mm , rear shock Manitou Mara , 800mm carbon bars , 203mm Hope floating rotors and a 2deg offset head set .
14 3/8” bb height, 64 degree head angle and 74/75 degree seat tube . 65mm L, 35mm dia stem .
The bike gained about 2.5# and shreds . The taller bb can make it a touch twitchy but less than when a 26er . It’s a better bike all around.
