At a glance

The 2020 Specialized Turbo Levo SL Comp is a E-Mountain and Trail mountain bike. It sports 29" wheels, is priced at $9,800 AUD and comes in a range of sizes, including S, M, L, XL. The bike is part of Specialized's Turbo Levo range of mountain bikes. As a pedal-assisted e-mountain bike, the Specialized Turbo Levo SL Comp is powered by a Specialized SL 1.1, custom lightweight motor motor and a battery.

The Turbo Levo SL is a new, lightweight breed of eMTB that harnesses the quick and lively ride of our Stumpjumper…and adds just enough power to introduce a whole new dimension of kick ass. Thanks to a clever component selection, the Turbo Levo SL Comp brings all of that rad down to an equally-rad price point.

The Turbo Levo SL looks like a Stumpjumper and, out on the trail, feels like one too. That’s no mistake. We aimed to build a Stumpjumper with a bit more boost to it and that’s exactly what you get—similar Sidearm chassis with great, balanced stiffness and 150mm of smooth, custom-tuned suspension. The Turbo Levo SL Comp’s chassis is constructed entirely from our light-yet-strong M5 premium aluminum.

Reviews

"With the Levo SL, Specialized has ushered in a new genre of lightweight, low-power e-MTBs"

"Like the regular Levo, the Levo SL is built around 29in wheels with 150mm of travel. With the addition of the unique SL 1.1 motor however, Specialized has produced an entirely different riding experience with this new lightweight e-MTB."

"The new Specialized Levo SL sets a new benchmark!"

"So with all those reservations above, the new Specialized Turbo Levo SL must be a blast to ride. And perhaps it's the missing part of the eMTB options, the eMTB for riders who don't want monster trucks, but want a good handling bike with a bit of a boost."

"The Levo SL is a less powerful, lighter, and more graceful e-mountain bike."

"It’s less clunky, less numb, less brutal than the typical e-bike, and more like an acoustic mountain bike; it provides nearly the experience of riding an unpowered mountain bike with a subtle boost to let you ride further, faster, more easily. I’m not sure the typical e-bike customer is ready for this Colin Chapman approach, but the Levo SL is the most unique and exciting e-mountain bike on the market right now."
